My Spiritual Journey

The Early Years

I was raised in a traditional religious upbringing that provided my first framework for understanding the divine. From an early age, I felt a genuine connection to God and something greater than myself. However, I found myself questioning certain exclusive doctrines, particularly the teaching that there was only "one way to heaven." This notion troubled me deeply, as it seemed to exclude countless sincere people whose only "fault" was being born into different religious traditions.

Being a child of the late 60's and 70's profoundly shaped my spiritual sensibilities. During this transformative era, I found myself drawn to the cultural ethos of Love and Peace that permeated the zeitgeist. It was here, within this collective yearning for harmony and connection, that I experienced some of my deepest connections with the divine. The music of this period—with its messages of Love and Peace, Humanity and Being One—resonated with something essential in my soul. These weren't just cultural artifacts but spiritual touchstones that have remained with me throughout my life.

This early tension between traditional teachings and the more inclusive spiritual vision of the counterculture became foundational to my journey. While I cherished my relationship with the divine, I couldn't reconcile the idea that spiritual truth would be limited to one particular path or that goodness alone wouldn't be recognized. Growing up, I continued to observe the world with curiosity and wonder, often finding moments of transcendence in nature, music, and the quiet spaces between everyday activities. My personal spiritual journey began as a quest for a more inclusive, compassionate understanding beyond the constraints of conventional teachings—one that embraced the unity consciousness that those formative decades had awakened in me.

Seeking and Discovery

As I entered adulthood, my spiritual search intensified. I explored various traditions and practices, each offering valuable insights while leaving me with new questions. This period of exploration took me through formal studies, personal contemplative practices, and enlightening encounters with teachers and fellow seekers from diverse backgrounds.

What began as intellectual curiosity gradually transformed into lived experience. The ancient wisdom teachings that had once seemed abstract became tangible realities as I integrated them into my daily life. Through both formal practice and life's challenges, I discovered that spirituality was less about acquiring knowledge and more about embodying awareness.

Transformative Experiences

Several pivotal experiences shaped my spiritual understanding in profound ways. Though I continued to challenge religious norms throughout my life, my struggle intensified during two deeply personal family moments. When my sister came out as gay at age 37, it pulled back the curtain on my mainstream church, revealing uncomfortable truths about how financial influence often dictated spiritual policies. Later, when my own son came out as gay, my spiritual convictions crystallized with absolute clarity.

These experiences became watershed moments in my spiritual evolution. I could not—and will not ever—believe that God, our Creator, would turn away from anyone based on who they love. Nor could I accept that the divine would want any church to be governed by financial interests rather than compassion and inclusion. These revelations weren't just intellectual disagreements with doctrine but deep, visceral recognitions of what authentic spirituality means.

During this challenging period of reconciling my faith with institutional religion, I experienced a moment of clarity that reframed my entire perspective. This wasn't a dramatic revelation but rather a quiet awakening to the present moment—a recognition that what I had been seeking had been available all along: a direct, unmediated connection to the divine that transcends human-made boundaries and exclusions.

Through dedicated practice and life's inevitable lessons, I've come to recognize that the spiritual path isn't separate from ordinary life but rather infuses it with meaning and purpose. The most mundane activities can become sacred when approached with mindfulness and gratitude. And perhaps most importantly, I've discovered that authentic spirituality manifests through radical inclusion and unconditional love—principles that have been confirmed rather than challenged by my family's journey.

My Practice Today

Yoga became my gateway to what I recognize as my second significant journey on the spiritual path. Through this practice, I was blessed with several teachers who opened doorways that expanded my consciousness in profound ways. They introduced me to concepts of vibration, energy, and frequency that resonated deeply with me—perspectives I had never encountered in traditional religious settings but that somehow felt fundamentally true.

My spiritual practice took another transformative turn when a dear friend introduced me to the subtle energy I could actually feel in my hands. This tactile experience led me to discover and study Usui Reiki Energy work, eventually becoming a Level 3 Reiki Master. Through this healing modality, another expansion of consciousness occurred, broadening my understanding of the interconnectedness of all things

It is my third and final time on my spiritual path in this lifetime that has brought me to the Akashic Records—learning and embracing the understanding and teachings of this sacred realm. I approach this work with profound reverence, keeping it sacred and humble in my practice as a Certified Master Akashic Reader.

My Practice Today

This path has enabled me to connect with my Guides and channel their messages, as well as receive communications from the Collective Consol, which shares wisdom through me for the benefit of all humanity

Today, my spiritual practice integrates these various modalities and connections while remaining deeply personal. Daily meditation provides a foundation of centeredness, while my work with the Akashic Records continues to expand my understanding. I believe that true spirituality transcends dogma and speaks to our shared human experience. It invites us to live with greater awareness, to cultivate kindness, and to recognize our fundamental interconnectedness with all life.

The gifts that I asked to bring forth in this lifetime continue to unfold in ways that both humble and inspire me. Each revelation and ability arrives with perfect timing, reminding me that spiritual development follows my own divine schedule as I have written in my Soul's plan before I ever incarnated into this life.

Sharing the Journey

My calling now includes guiding others who are on their own spiritual paths. Through teaching, writing, and community building, I strive to create spaces where authentic spiritual exploration can flourish. I approach this work with humility, recognizing that I remain a student even as I share what I've learned.
